PLEASE READ: My name is David Kitchen and I own Rocky Mountain K9 I handle all training and boarding related topics. I am not a groomer, but over this last year I have learned so much about what it takes to be a groomer. It is by far the hardest position we have here at RMK9. These girls work so hard and rarely take breaks, and they stand all day long handling dogs who just naturally love to move around a lot, they are heavy, and in some cases even try to bite them.  Dog Groomers are a special breed of person who exhibit patience, love, and kindness.  As many of you have experienced many groomers will up and quit out of the blue due to burn out.  I ask that you thank your groomer, and be patient with them if something is taking to long or didn’t go as planned. They are striving each day to give your dog the best care possible. And if they make a mistake or if they are delayed rest assured they will make it right.  I only write this in hopes to educate more people on what it takes to groom dogs, and I hope our groomers will feel the appreciation I know we all have for them.

We hope this is a helpful tool to make your stay easier. If you ever have questions please feel free to reach out to one of our knowledgeable staff members for anything you need answered or refer back to this page.
